Content Writer: How did you come up with your business name?

Brandy: My name originated back in 2011....I’ve always loved  seeing others looking Klassy and just kute. I loved everything couture so I added Be in front of couture and made it BeKature..I changed the spelling to be different...fast forward 2018 I added styles to my name because I am a fashion stylist among owning my own boutique.

Content Writer: How long have you been in business?

Brandy: I started my online store in 2014 and it stayed up for about a year, I chose to take a break because I was a full time student and had a full time job. When you’re running a business on your own it takes a lot of late nights and early mornings. Do I regret taking a break from my business yes and no. I say yes because I put it on the back burner for 4 years, gave my job numerous of hours of my time and not to mention I had so many people wanting to buy my items. However 4 years later I’m back up and running and business is doing well not to mention I’m getting booked for fashion shows left and right

Content Writer: Great example of knowing when to step away and coming back to build off of what you love to do. Any words for those women who maybe currently be facing a situation where they are trying to run their business but have other priorities they need to take care of?

Brandy: I would tell others it’s ok to take a break...sometimes we all need to take a break in order to come back stronger and refreshed....I took a 4 year break and life is going accordingly to God’s plan.

Content Writer: How did you get the word out about your business?

Brandy: I’ve always had a eye for fashion so every time I went out people would ask me where did i get certain items from, of course I would tell them however I told myself if I get these particular items I could tell them I got it from myself...so with that being said I spread the word about my business word of mouth and social media..I try to wear something of mine daily and I make sure I keep my business cards with me 24/7

Content Writer: That make perfect sense whereas you dress really nice and actually have a passion to style and to be a business owner.

Do you style everyday women and if so what is your starting cost?

Brandy: Yes I style everyday women... I have a phone consultation fee of $25 dollars (I’ll send you different looks and where you can purchase those items from,in person fee $50 (I call this meet and greet) I’ll meet with you in person, I also offer personal shopping for $100 ( I’ll go purchase your items for you)..lastly I do events for $250 (this includes being your personal stylist at your event up to 4 hours.)

Content Writer: Who would you say your boutique is for (type of woman)?

Brandy: With each piece that I showcase I want all of the ladies to feel konfident, kute and Klassy. You’ll be surprised that a lot of  women are not comfortable with some of the things that they wear but still wear it. So I would say my Boutique is for anyone that want to feel kute, look Klassy and is Konfident within themselves

Content Writer: Do you do all of the work when it comes to your business?

Brandy: Yes I do all of the work when it comes to my business at the moment...from picking out the pieces to go in my Boutique to processing and shipping all of the items. Its not easy but well WORTH it and I’m proud of myself because I push through even when I don’t want to.

Content Writer: And what motivates you when things don’t go as planned or you run into a situation?

Brandy: Being my OWN BOSS motivates me so much, everyday I want to quit my 9-5 and one day I’ll quit. It’s something about working for yourself and on your time. I personally like to make my own rules so I work hard everyday on my brand to make that happen. Staying consistent and persistent will give me the end results of being that Girl boss I dream of.When something doesn’t go as planned I go back to the drawing board to see where I went wrong and try to fix it and if I can’t I learn from it.

Content Writer: How do you juggle working a 9-5 with owning a business?

Brandy: I tell myself don’t ever go to work and come home and do nothing with my business so I try to work on my business everyday. I won’t lie some days is hard because My 9-5 drains me but success requires consistency and sacrifice.

Content Writer: Is there a time where you ever just need to center yourself and offer what we call “self care” and if so what does self care look like for you sometimes?

Brandy: Well at the moment my self care is my business, I’m so hungry for it to succeed and grow so I PUT MY ALL into it however I do find time to get kute because when you look good you feel good.
