Good Practices in Place: To Do list & Tracking Bills

I wanted to share how I map my out my life from time to time and the way I can wrap my head around my finances. Let me not take all of the credit here because I NOW have a financial advisor which has helped my anxiety. Missing a payment gives me bad anxiety and now that I am in a place where I can pay them ON TIME it has brought relief to me. She had asked me if I wanted to put any of my bills on autopay (and even though I would like to be about that life one day, THAT day wasn't it). I can now say that I have entered that arena and I have put my cellphone bill on autopay ONLY because I know I need my phone and they take $10 off my bill each month if I do #wining If any of you are interested in getting a reliable and knowledgeable financial advisor let me know via email info@QueensUniteEverywhere.com

Tracking Bills

Straight to the point on what I do…. and if you would like to see a visual breakdown of this, leave a comment below and I will do a blog post on it.

1) I write down my bills and their due dates, then I split the dates in which my beginning check of the month will pay for my bills and the ending check will pay for those bills.

Ex. Pay Dates are 11th and 26th. If you get paid on the 11th, pay the bills that fall in between the 11th and 25th and for the 26th check you will pay for the 26th-10th bills. Makes sense right?

1) I use a white board that is in home office and write each bill and due date. If its in my face I wont forget lol

2) Write it on a piece of paper and keep it in my purse

3) Use an app or add them to your calendar on your phone

To-Do list

I haven't got in the habit of making a to-do list EVERYDAY because many of the things I do is part of my daily routine. I typically make one the days I take off from work or the weekends. How I feel accomplished with doing this is:

1) Crossing out or highlighting the things Ive done

2) Complete the things that are simple and get it out of the way

Lastly, part of my to-do list is adding meetings and appointments to my calendar on my phone and in my planner. I do this for two reasons

1) To be honest I don't look at my planner EVERYDAY

2) My phone is in my hands EVERYDAY

Either way I’m going to be aware of the things that are going on in my life. I do understand in order to make things happen you have be intentional and consistent. I’d like to know what ways you keep track of you bills. If you’ve done a video please leave the link below or just share what you do in the comment section below.
